Tennessee River Striper Fishing
Our Tennessee River striper fishing trips are conducted as float trips and we fish from a bass boat. These trips are available as fly fishing or spin fishing trips. Our priority for these fish is to target them on spin fishing gear due primarily to the different water depths that we have to explore while searching for the bites. But, rest assured that we keep heavy fly fishing gear on board for when they are busting bait on top! We generally have four 9 weight rods rigged with two floating lines and two full sink lines to cover any possibilities when we have fly fishermen on board.
Our spin fishing techniques vary greatly depending on what they want from minute to minute. It can be a guessing game at times, but when you get dialed in there's not much in freshwater that can beat it. These fish can certainly put up a fight!
As mentioned on our Home Page, it is possible to catch many different species of fish on these striper trips. These waters provide a huge diversity of fish, especially when the dams are generating. The increased water flow attracts both predator and prey species. Any fisherman knows what can happen when you mix these two groups together in the same general area. It usually produces a memorable day on the water to say the least. You really want to experience this if you can.
